History: Walton "Wally" Algernon Albright, Jr. was brought into Our Gang by Gus Meins. At the end of 1933, Meins was brought into to direct after Robert F. McGowan, but several of the kids had left in the summer and Wally was brought in as a fresh new face. Playing a peripheral character in Choo-Choo!, Wally afterward played the role of gang leader alongside Stymie played by Matthew Beard. His tousled blonde hair was created with a curling iron, and between scenes, it tended to wilt. After one year, Wally left the series on his own decision to return to a normal life of school, possibly escaping the unhappy fates of several of his co-stars. After high school and college, the dashing young man became a champion water sportsman and operated a successful trucking firm. He passed away at the age of seventy-three in 1999.
