Marmalade
I'm moving this picture here because I don't delete others' pictures (and prefer not to change the caption), but don't believe it belongs here. It still is on the Willie Mae Taylor page, which is appropriate. The name Marmalade was used once, for Carlena Beard's character in "Readin' and Writin'." This picture is of Willie Mae Taylor playing Buckwheat in "Honky-Donkey" (actually it's a still from the Maltin-Bann book and not really a screen shot). Willie Mae Taylor was never called Marmalade, and Carlena Beard was never called Buckwheat. The Maltin-Bann book says she was called Buckwheat once, in For Pete's Sake, but theluckycorner correctly points out that name is never used in that film.
Based on all this, I think the most accurate thing to do is declare Carlena Beard's "Marmalade" and Willie Mae Taylor's "Buckwheat" as two separate characters. The Taylor shorts shouldn't be on this page, and Taylor's Buckwheat should be on a separate page. Taylor's Buckwheat is different from Billie Thomas's Buckwheat (They may have appeared in the same film, Washee Ironee).Rjh (talk) 05:03, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
