Piemont Fire Engine

Jerry and Jane in the Piemont Fire Engine

Piemont is the possible trademark name on the license plate of the pedal-powered fire engine that belongs to Jerry Tucker. The two-seated fire engine comes with shiny reflective headlights, ladders and a hose; its full license plate reads Piemont P-1164. The sight of the vehicle in the back of the Wilshire Storage Company van delivering it to the new Tucker Residence brings all the neighborhood kids on the block to meet Jerry and try to be his friend, but Jerry is not up to sharing with anyone, not until he meets a pretty face.
It's not revealed whether this was a real toy fire engine available in the Thirties, or if it was manufactured by Hal Roach Studios for the short.
