- 1946 - Hal Roach sells the rights of the sound shorts in the seires to Erko for home movie distribution. Due to copyright issues, Erko renames the series Kids 'N Pets.
- 1947, June 12 - Carl Switzer reprises his role as "Alfalfa" in Gas House Kids Go West
- 1947, August 23 - Curley premieres; it is Hal Roach's first attempt at recreating Our Gang. The same day, Carl Switzer reprises his role as "Alfalfa" again in Gas House Kids In Hollywood
- 1948, March 25 - William Laughlin is struck and killed on his bicycle by a car near La Puente, California. He is the fourth Little Rascal to pass away after departing the series.
- 1948, April 9 - Who Killed Doc Robbin premieres; it is Hal Roach's second and last attempt at recreating Our Gang.
- 1949, April - Walt Kelly's last issue of Our Gang Comics is released.
1950s[]
- 1950 - Hal Roach sells the rights of the sound shorts in the series to another company, Official Films, for home movie distribution. Official renames the series Famous Kids Comedies.
- 1950 - Hal Roach sells the rights of the sound shorts to Monogram Pictures (later known as "Allied Artists") for theatrical distribution. Monogram renames the series The Little Rascals.
- 1954 - Some of the former Our Gang kids are reunited on the television show You Asked For It.
- 1955, September (estimated) - Allied Artists, under their television division Interstate Television Corporation, releases their Little Rascals package of seventy-nine sound shorts and thirteen silent shorts to the syndicated television market.
- 1956, January - Dell Comics' first issue of Four Color Comics: The Little Rascals is released.
- 1958, January - Carl Switzer is shot and killed over a $50 debt in Northern California. The shooting is ruled justified homicide by the police. He is the fifth known Little Rascal lost after departing the series, lending credence to a "Little Rascals Curse."
- 1958 - Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer brings their fifty-two Our Gang shorts to television.
- 1959, May 5 - Little Rascals Varieties, a compilation of musical shorts taken from Our Gang Follies Of 1936, The Pinch Singer, Reunion In Rhythm, and Our Gang Follies Of 1938, is released to theaters by Allied Artists.
1960s[]
- 1961 - King World Productions buys The Little Rascals television package (excluding the silent shorts) from Allied Artists. Additionally, Hal Roach sells the Pathé silent shorts to National Telepix, who shows the films on television under the titles Mischief Makers.

- 1962, August 4 - Actress Marilyn Monroe is found dead of an "accidental overdose" in Westwood, California; her death is considered the end of innocence in Hollywood.
