History: Not much is known about John Montgomery O'Grady, and what there is to be found about him is speculative. Maltin and Bann list five shorts for him between 1922 and 1924, with only one appearance confimed by Robert DeMoss of the The Lucky Corner website. The rest of his credits are attributed to George Warde, not to be confused with Sonny Boy Warde. Going by his IMDB credits, Monty O'Grady starred in a few silent films and then left the business, starring in a few more movies after possibly serving in the military. His scattered acting appearances suggest that he may have worked more on the stage than in film.
