History: Mildred Jean Kornman is the sister of Mary Kornman and the daughter of Gene Kornman, one of the photographers for Hal Roach, who had volunteered Mary into the comedy series after it had started. According to Jean Darling, when Mary grew out of Our Gang their father, Gene Kornman, wanted Mildred to take her place, but Mildred was a crier and often fussy during takes, but because she was such a cute little girl she appeared in several comedies but was never an official member of the Our Gang. In fact, Mildred only starred in two shorts alongside her sister before Mary left the series. She never seemed to catch on as well as her sister did with fans, but she did last long enough to work with several of the more classic stars, like Wheezer and Spanky. After leaving acting in 1967, she had a successful career as a fashion model under the name Ricki Van Dusen. She also has her own website.
