Marianne Jones is the daughter of Mr. Jones, the new school truant officer; a fact which seems to have the boys of the neighborhood trying to get to know her. The attention seems to be a bit of a mystery to her as she already has a boyfriend named Percy.
Marianne was played by Marianne Edwards; she is likely not to be confused with Jane's sister, Marianne.
