KWZ Radio is a local radio station in Greenpoint. The station has a kiddie talent show over the radio which the Eagles Club hopes to win with Cookie as their talent, but when she runs late, Alfalfa Switzer takes her place. and music contests with as much as $50 prize money in Mike Fright and The Pinch Singer. The staff and employees of the station include Mr. Morton the station manager, Mr. Barker the sponsor, Mr. Davies the announcer, Charlie the sound engineer and Miss Brown the receptionist. The on-air talent includes Mr. Hatley the piano player and "Uncle John," another announcer. Other local stations are NIX Radio Station and KHJ Radio Station which could just actually be an earlier predecessor of KWZ.
