The Junior Fire Squad 3 Fleet is the possible creation of the Junior Fire Squad 3, although it's not known just who in the group had a particular hand in the creation of which conveyances. It consists of four animal-powered vehicles. Dickie Moore drives the first, the "1st Cheef Fire Dept." go-cart. It has a wood engine cover, checkerboard sides, baby carriage wheels, tin can headlights and a scrub-board grill; it's powered by a dog named "Laughing Gravy" on a treadmill under the hood chasing a cat behind chicken wire. Dickie drives it with Spanky in back, controlling the speed with a bouncing gear. The rest of the vehicles are nearly as ingenious and are basically animal-pulled carts. The second vehicle is pulled by a pair of goats with Bouncy Wertz and Dickie's sister, Dorothy. The third carries the boiler tank, possibly passed down from the Goat Alley Fire Department, and has very wobbly wheels. It is driven by Stymie guiding a mule named "Billie" with Spud in back at top speed during which time the left front wheel falls off during the race to the Greenpoint Fire Department. The fourth vehicle is the hook and ladder cart driven by Speck MacDonald with Breezy in back and powered by a horse.
