History: Born Joseph Ernest Morrison, Ernie Morrison Sr. appeared in a number of films before a dozen appearances in Our Gang silents, most of them with his son Ernie Morrison Jr. While he used "Joseph" on several occasions, such as signing contracts, he is credited as "Ernie Morrison" in the 1918 short film "Out West," which starred Fatty Arbuckle and Buster Keaton. Both Morrisons appeared the silent shorts "The Floor Below," "All Dressed Up," and "Soft Pedal." His daughter Dorothy Morrison also appeared in a few Our Gang shorts.
