The Eastern Novelty Company is a non-local company who creates and sells children's toys, party favors and fireworks. It does business with several businesses in Southern California, possibly including Variety Toys And Novelties, through its salesmen, one of whom is Mr. Fries. After doing business near Greenpoint, Fries boards a train and shares some of his merchandise with the Rascals, disrupting the peace of the passengers. Several of his fireworks are set off by a monkey.
