Bio: Donald Proffitt is a classmate of Spanky McFarland from Green Street Grammar School and Greenpoint Grammar School. He also attends church with Spanky and pops up as one of the kids at Happy Home Orphanage. Along with the other kids, he's a member of the short-lived club known as the Ancient And Honery Order Of Wood Chucks, whose one duty seems to have been to heckle Spanky's act at the Greenpoint Playhouse in order to save Spanky from a future of talent shows in Beginner's Luck, but their plan backfires and actually helps him win.
Donald seems to to really like cowboys, and when we first meet him, he's dressed in chaps and a bandana and riding a sawhorse when Wally Albright calls him to meet the new kid in Hi'-Neighbor!. The meeting turns into a competition to build a fire engine that is bigger if not better than that of Jerry Tucker. Donald's donation to the build is a water hose "borrowed" from one of his neighbors. Like all boys, he loves to play football; he's number nine in the Rascal's football team, but their football schedule is mostly controlled by how much babysitting Spanky has to do for his sister, Baby Patsy.
Donald also works backstage for Spanky's Our Gang Follies Of 1936, and appears among the kids watching Alfalfa fight Butch in Glove Taps.
