History: Creighton Hale got his start as an actor while starring in Charles Frohman's Broadway production of "Indian Summer." Spotted by a representative of the Pathe film Company, he appeared in several successful silent films as well as a "stag film" in 1923. His career did not hold up during the age of talking films, but he made several appearances in the Our Gang comedies as well as minor roles in major later films. He married Kathleen Bering, the daughter of a Texas oil man. He died in 1965 at the age of eighty-three.
