The Short

Plot: Pete is seen chasing a cat, which ends at the estate of a wealthy woman and her poodle, Yvette De Fur, whom Pete falls in love with and learns she is entered into a dog show. Pete heads to the dog show at the Grand Hotel, where he discovers Waldo bringing his pedigree dog into the hotel. The Rascals, driving in the street in their homemade vehicle, sees Waldo, and when Spanky slams on the brakes, their vehicle crashes into another vehicle, and the Rascals' car is destroyed in the process. Spanky promises to beat Waldo by entering Pete in the dog show, and eventually, Pete, who was filthy, gets escorted out of the hotel since he was never registered. After the Rascals' vehicle was put back together, Pete gets put back in the car with the gang, and drive away.

Unbeknownst to the Rascals, a trio of suspicious guys posing as laundry workers were in the area are plotting to kidnap Pete. Soon afterwards, the Rascals were trying to give Pete a bath by using one of Buckwheat's inventions which efficiently cleans the dog. Now, the dog show is about to start, and guests along with their dogs were entering the facility. The Rascals, dressed in wealthy attire and 1920s outfits, bring Pete into the event. Porky is standing near the food table, and is eager to eat the food intended for the guests. Now, the bad guys plot to kidnap Yvette De Fur and Prince Romanoff, and the thugs use their black cat to help lure their victims into custody. The cat runs in as the first place trophy is about to be presented. Waldo's dog, Prince, wins first place, and was given a serving of dog food, which Pete decides to eat. The bad guys kidnap Pete, assuming he is Prince, and steals Prince's trophy as well.

As the Rascals follow the kidnappers to their hideout, the gang encounter an adult duck and some ducklings crossing the street, which delayed the process. When the bad guys arrive to the Downtown Laundry facility, they remove Yvette and Pete from their sacks, but when it was discovered that Prince was actually Pete, he got tossed out of the facility and into the parking lot.

As the bad guys play cards, Pete sneaks into the facility, under a soap carton, for the purpose of freeing Yvette from harm's way. But after Pete successfully rescues the poodle, the two dogs try to escape, but one of dogs sneezes from inside the soap carton, and the bad guys caught them trying to escape, and the bad guys chase the dogs - who ultimately get cornered at a dead end. As the bad guys try to capture them again, Pete snarls towards the bad guys aggressively, and the bad guys end up falling into a gigantic laundry tub and get washed. Then it turns to the spin cycle where they get dizzy, and ending to the dry cycle where a fan dries them off. The Rascals, accompanied by Officer Ed, arrive to the scene of the crime, to ultimately arrest the bad guys. The segment closes out with Yvette kissing Pete on the cheek, and the ring around his left eye forms a heart shape outline zooming in to the center of the screen before it becomes a full red valentine.
