Cherry Creek, with the gang camping on the far side

Cherry Creek is a camping area a long trek from Greenpoint. The first sign the gang encounters says it is two miles to the creek, and then they pass similar signs with one mile and one-half mile to go. The walk there tires out Stymie Beard and Wally Albright, but Spanky McFarland and Scotty Beckett manage to hitchhike there by catching a ride. The creek area has a rock face that catches shadows.
It's possible that this is the location where the later Geyser Springs Campground was created, but this is unconfirmed.
