Captain Gilbert

Captain Gilbert is a local captain and "old salt" who docks his trawler in Greenpoint. When he's in town, the Rascals show up on dock to listen to his adventures and stories from the sea. When Stymie, Wheezer, Echo and Sherwood's truancies at school become too big a problem, their teacher, Miss Crabtree intervenes to get his help in scaring the kids back to school, but the kids turn out to be more resourceful and Miss Crabtree has to drag them back to school herself.
Captain Gilbert was played by Billy Gilbert.
