Big Shot Thomas is the little brother of Buckwheat. A peripheral character in a few shorts, he is a significant member of the staff of the gang's newspaper, The Greenpoint Flash, in Going To Press, taking on many roles such as Janitor, "Coppy Boy", and "Asst Noosboy," with a separate hat for each job.

- The young actor playing Big Shot Thomas has yet to be identified. It might be the real-life brother of William Thomas, but this is unconfirmed.
