Big Shot
Bio[]
Big Shot Jones is a friend of Buckwheat Thomas. He owns a small dog that he and Buckwheat name Smallpox which he wants to share with the gang rather than sending him to the dog pound, but Mickey, Froggy and Janet misunderstand and think he means a different kind of smallpox. This leads to an incident that involves the Greenpoint Board Of Health contributing to panic throughout the town. Big Shot previously appeared as part of the band in one of Spanky's cellar shows.
Big Shot Jones is not to be confused with Big Shot Thomas.
Big Shot was played by Cordell Hickman.

Trivia[]
- Big Shot , Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Porky, Darla, Butch, Woim, Waldo and Spanky are the only Hal Roach characters to appear in the MGM films.
- He's the only minor character to appear in the MGM shorts.
- Had the series not ended in 1944, it's possible Big Snot would've replaced Buckwheat after Dancing Romeo as his actor, William Thomas, was getting to old for the role.
- However, Buckwheat is shown in the publicity photo from Home Front Commandos.
- Even if the aftermention episode was Buckwheat's last appearance it would've just been him, Froggy, Mickey and Janet.
- This would've made him the only minor character to be bumped into the main gang as the other characters (Wheezer, Spanky etc) were recurring before joining the main gang.
