Bio[]
The Ajax Athaletic Club was a series of business enterprises involving physical fitness by the Rascals. The original was set up by Mickey Daniels as an exercise studio with a boxing ring, a bicycle-powered shower and pinwheel lung-tester with himself as President, Secretary, Treasurer and the Board of Directors. A few years later, Farina and Harry Spear set up a similar organization with the intent to make money by promoting boxing matches.
Some years later, Spanky McFarland comes up with roughly the same idea based in his old barn in Glove Taps. Using the book, How To Be A Fighter - 10 Easy Lessons, he tries to train Alfalfa Switzer to fight Tommy "Butch" Bond, but it's not clear if he has misplaced confidence in his buddy or just hiding behind him. He puts Alfalfa through road work, rub downs and shadow boxing, and somehow, Alfalfa defeats Butch with help from Buckwheat and Porky. Convinced of his fighting ability, this bout leads to wrestling matches promoted by Spanky billing Alfalfa as "Wildcat Alfalfa" and Waldo as "The Masked Marvel," but Butch gets wise and replaces Waldo, meeting Alfalfa in the ring and Buckwheat and Porky saving his life (and face) once more.
